Why did you make this work:
The blackbird "Bjarne" is enjoying his life in the big city full of trash cans, noisy traffic and busy people. Then one day a huge hurricane comes and blows him away from his home and out into the big nature. Suddenly he sees the blue sky for the first time and meets the female blackbird Charlotte. Maybe this new place is not so bad after all Written by Zenia Johnsen

The illustrations for the release are made by combining different scanned ink-elements and digitally drawn details. The Danish title of the book is "Bjarne blæser væk".

Biography:
Simon Væth is a Danish freelance illustrator, graphic artist and teacher. His illustrations are characterised by a rough and naïve style topped with poetic and humorous elements. Simon works freely between a wide array of techniques ranging from digital, ink, pencil, paper-cut, linocut and etchings, or a combination hereof.
