Lahore Music Meet 2020

Design Product & Packaging

Why did you make this work:
The theme for Lahore Music Meet 2020 was to show freedom and inclusion especially in light of the growing womxn's movement in Pakistan. It was important to me that the main artwork reflected a sense of empowerment and a safe space for everyone especially womxn to be a part of the music industry. Hence the main character appears as a fantastical deity who commands the instruments of her world.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration was used as promotion material in the form of posters, online promotional campaigns, stage backdrops and merchandise for Lahore Music Meet 2020.

How did you make this work:
The artwork was inspired by the local saints and folklore of Pakistan. I started off with pencil sketches which I made into digital artworks in Adobe Illustrator. Thus creating opportunity for efficient translation into the various parts of the festival's assets such as invitations, posters, stage backdrops, merchandise and online promotion.
