Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
This series of illustrations was inspired by the work of three poets and their love poems The Good Morrow by John Donne, Wild Nights! by Emily Dickinson and The Trick by Imtiaz Dharker.

How was the illustration used:
This project was created for the Book Illustration Competition.

How did you make this work:
I tried to build the bittersweet atmosphere that I felt after immersing myself in these three love poems. The use of visual metaphors in this project transcends beyond the object and lightning deep into the directions of the graphite strokes.I hand-drawn on paper and coloured in Photoshop.
