This is the 6th in a series of non-fiction picture books designed to highlight and celebrate different animal species. Octopuses are particularly bizarre, so I wanted to explore their weird and wonderful lives and what makes them so special and unique.

How did you make this work:
I wrote this book and illustrated it (with the help of Flying Eye Books and the wonderful team there). After researching everything, and dividing the pages, I worked on compositions to keep an interesting pace and flow in the book. I then explored how to make the different species feel authentic but fun. I chose limited and bold colour palettes to keep the book feeling accessible and interesting.Commissioner Name :
