Why did you make this work:
I wanted to create a series of different animals with bold colours and interesting shapes emphasizing the variety of animals on our planet.

How was the illustration used:
The series is used for a calendar: 12 animals for 12 months.

How did you make this work:
These are digital drawings focusing on bold colours, vivid contrasts and big eye-catching shapes and composition-the basic elements of design.

Biography:
Nadine Scherer is a German illustrator and graphic designer. Her works include a wide range from analogue linear life drawings with a fluent stroke, murals telling stories of nature, to screenprints and digital drawings with big shapes and bold colours. With her ceramics she enters the third dimension using a reduced colour palette and geometric forms to create different animals.
