This picture book is about the death of a grandmother who lost everything and comes back to the house of the children as a reincarnated bird. Lonely aging was a news of modern society, and it is happening in my family at the same time. Repeated reincarnation in religion does not mean rest or heaven. But my grandmother wants to stay with her calm children.
How was the illustration used: in process on publishing
How did you make this work: The cold color of achromatic and blue means the death of the grandmother, the coldness that enters into it with the will and recognizes it as a stage of life. At the same time, I wanted to express their understanding each others in their positions without pessimistic reality. It was a monochromatic pencil, but I used it cause I thought it was interesting material to convey warmth and nostalgia.
