Site Specific

Commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
This mural painting was create and executed on the store front window of Haveli Home Decor, a store selling furniture, home textiles, lights and decorative objects mostly from India and South south Asia. All the patterns, Dolores and sense gave me the idea to capture and represent a moment of a friendly gathering, with having tea and listening to some one else's stories.

How was the illustration used:
Window Wonderland is presented in partnership with Buds Collective, a Canadian organization based in Calgary that provides local artists and makers with opportunities, visibility, fair compensation and access to tools and resources, and with Augle, a Canadian-made art and lifestyle mobility platform, that allows users to see an enhanced point-of-view of the world through augmented reality.

How did you make this work:
Window Wonderland exhibition transforming the neighbourhood into an outdoor gallery that was interactive and engaging. The exhibition featured local artists and animators who painted ten storefront windows brought to life by Augmented Reality (AR) to create an impressive public art display. I used Acrylic paints and the design was based on what I'd got inspired when I visited the store inside.
