How did you make this work:
Personal project: A parody cover of a fashion magazine to express the wastefulness and stigma of the modern society's fashion and beauty industries. I created this imaginary world where humans are all skeletal so you can't tell their gender, race, color, or age. Beauty would have a very different definition and fashion industry could be a lot more sustainable. Mixed media on paper.

Biography:
Maki Yamaguchi is a Japanese freelance illustrator based in NY. Raised in Japan and art trained in NY, her work often shows influences from both the Eastern and Western cultures and aesthetics. She uses mixed-media and mostly works in editorial but loves working on wide range of projects.
