I was approached by La Peste magazine to create an illustration for issue 39, for an essay by Italian author Natalia Ginzburg about times of war and modesty.
How was the illustration used: Editorial
How did you make this work: I first made a few sketches on paper to get ideas. When I got the idea, I thought that I needed a very special angle for the shoes, therefore I took a few pictures of my pair of boots until I found the right perspective. I then went ahead and used that as a reference to draw the scene and added color and textures on my iPad.

Biography:
Lore Mondragón is an illustrator from Mexico. She studied communications and design at The University of Texas at El Paso, and a master's degree in environmental conservation at Colorado State University and El Colegio de la Frontera Sur. She has been practicing as an illustrator since 2017 focusing on editorial and commercial illustration.
