Author and illustrator, Mike Curato, created 'Little Elliot', a small polka dotted elephant living in New York City in the late 1930's. In spite of challenges, Elliot enjoys the City. However when he literally falls short of his aspirations, Elliot meets a friend who helps him put things into perspective.
