Lisa Seitz
Everyone wants a piece of that cake

Why did you make this work:
In times of scarce resources, we have to ask ourselves: Why do we consume so much? Consumer behavior and lifestyle in the western world are pushing the environment to the brink. My artwork shows a lavish party of an opulent western society, at which everyone is thoughtlessly consuming of what little remains of the planet. It may prove to be the last big "party" of our time.

How was the illustration used:
It´s a personal artwork

How did you make this work:
I drew the artwork on my iPad Pro with ProCreate. I work with fine lines and patterns to underline the chaos. I used colored areas with deliberate arbitrariness to emphasize the exuberant mood of the party guests.
