What have you done to my home?

Children's Publishing

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
I'm currently working on a children's non-fiction picturebook for the final project of my MA in Illustration. My book will educate and entertain young children as well as conveying an important message about habitat loss and the impact this has on frogs. We've all heard about polar bears but the plight of frogs is not as well-known.

How was the illustration used:
I created this illustration during my research into frogs and it might be used in my final book, possibly on the cover, or as part of a marketing campaign.

How did you make this work:
This began as a rough sketch, which was scanned into my computer and used to develop as a digital painting using my graphics tablet. It was an image in my head that I couldn't stop thinking about so I had to illustrate it! The human involvement in the habitat loss of frogs was quite shocking, and I wanted to share it.
