New TalentWhy did you make this work:
The brief was to reimagine eight book covers from Neil Gaiman’s back catalogue. Using the plot and themes as inspiration for the covers.
How was the illustration used: Book covers for my university FMP
How did you make this work: I created these covers using handmade textures, made from watercolour and dry ink which were manipulated and edited with Adobe Photoshop to give a digital printmaking affect. I used texture and tones combined with monotone colours to convey the dark themes and distinct writing voice of Neil Gaiman’s work.
