Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned by Penguin to illustrate covers for The Deptford Trilogy by Robertson Davies. They needed to reflect each individual story while also forming one continuous artwork when the books were lined up next to each other.

Book covers.

How did you make this work:
Digital artwork. I use lots of scanned paper textures and try to simulate the paper softness.

Biography:
Karolis Strautniekas is a freelance illustrator, working and living in Vilnius, Lithuania. Having finished his studies at the Fine Arts Academy in Vilnius (2011), he began working in creative industries such as advertising, animation and graphic design. In 2013, Karolis took a focus to illustration and commenced his career as a freelance illustrator! Clients include Audi, Facebook and Royal Mail.
