'Blue things' is my major project at Kingston University. Taking blue as the research object, I created a non-fiction picture book about the colour of blue.
Blue has a tortuous history. The ancient Romans thought that blue was a low colour. However, it was valued by people in the Middle Ages, and even became people's favourite colour.
How was the illustration used: A non-fiction Picture book for children aged 5-12 years old.
How did you make this work: I use muti-different materials like watercolour, gouache, colour pencil etc. then using digital collages to finish every single piece.

Jiatong Liu is a Chinese illustrator currently based in London, UK.
As an illustrator, he has good skills in using different media to create the exquisite illustration. Most importantly, both his hand painting and digital art has a distinctive style.
