Why did you make this work:
A quiet but tender moment in a Chinese restaurant, a nostalgic personal piece I did during the lockdown. It was a strange time when the concept of normal has been tilted and decomposed, however, it was also an enlightening time to realize and to appreciate the beauty of our ordinary daily life.

Biography:
Jiaqi Zhou is a freelance illustrator living between New York City and Shanghai. Originally from Shanghai, China, she went to the United States by herself when she was eighteen and she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Communication Arts in 2017. Her client has included Washington Post, WWF, Dotdash, Nature Conservancy, Library of Virginia, Shout Mouse Press, and more.
