Why did you make this work:
I made this piece for IPPR magazine as cover & GIF for their media platform. In the brief, they'd love to see a balanced but progressive collection of essays on arts and culture and their relationship to politics and policy. The art director also mentioned they'd like to have a festival like imagery and want to have the vibe of "Where's Wally?"

Biography:
Jianan was born in 1992, China. She grew up in Beijing and she finished her undergraduate there. After that, she worked at a tech company as a UI designer for a year, then she went to the U.S. to continue her studies.She studied at Syracuse University for a year then came to Maryland Institute College of Art, MFA ILP continued her study, 2017-2019. She wants to be a freelance illustrator. Most of her works are editorial illustrations, in the future, she’d to work more on editorial and try to do children's books.She likes swimming and 90's Pop Mandarin music.
