How did you make this work:
I really wanted to make a picture book about animals dressed up as other animals, and this story came up. I thought it would be funny when the main character wants desperately to a party, but somehow he is not allowed to enter. I didn't mean to at all, but in the end the main character turned out to be just like me, an introvert with an aversion for crowds :-)

Biography:
Janneke Ipenburg is a Dutch children's book author/illustrator with a love for picture books. Her favorite subjects are animals, specially the cranky ones. She is fascinated by nature and all living creatures and she loves to put nature as a scenery in her paintings.
