| New TalentWhy did you make this work:
As a part of one of our school assignments, our professor wanted us to create a campaign to advertise Nespresso's Master Origin range. Having seen a lot of work on the brand, she specifically asked us to steer clear of clichéd coffee commercials and explore how we could be innovative in the communication without diluting the brand message.
How was the illustration used:
Nespresso's Master origin range focuses heavily on how the origin of coffee dictates your experience. To us, metaphorically it represented a whole new place inside a pod of coffee. One could be sitting on their kitchen table in New York City but be transported to India by the coffee. We used illustration to bring this idea alive in print ads.
How did you make this work:
The illustration was made entirely digitally using an Apple pencil on an iPad. The first version of this campaign created in a standard layout for a print campaign. A few months later, upon looking at it with fresh eyes, we found that extending the dimensions horizontally would add more visual impact. Thus was born the new version of this idea, a lot bigger and a lot more intricately illustrated.

Finally, they've ended up in New York City where they work as art and copy partners, rant a lot and consume unhealthy amounts of pumpkin spice latte.
