Why did you make this work:
To create an arresting book cover for a collection of evocative short stories based on tales of the sea. The prose links to the very nature of creative writing and imagination.

How did you make this work:
My illustration has evolved to include found and sourced materials. By using pencil sharpenings to evoke the title story I wanted to forge a link with creative endeavour as well as the sea.

Biography:
I am a professional Illustrator that works for predominately editorial clients. I have worked for many top publications creating character based illustrative solutions. Recently I have started making 3D illustrations utilising scavenged objects brought together to create sculptural commentary on social and political ideas. I teach Illustration Animation at kingston School of art, London.
