Part of a series of development work illustrating oral histories from former miners at Geevor tin mine. I made this to explore how to capture a sense of the dark, dirt, solitude and claustrophobia of underground work. Digital sketch, printed onto cartridge paper and then worked into with ink, wax resist, washing up liquid and charcoal.
