Personal exploration

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
Iris enjoys working with and discovering new textures snd seeing where this will take her

How was the illustration used:
Personal work later made into wall prints

How did you make this work:
Iris used photos of different parts of flower petals, seaweed, and other natural textures - precious stones, fruits, sweets and 3D vector shapes. She searches through photos for many hours focussing on the textures that will suit a particular job. She thinks of them as if they were part of a digital eco system where each element when joined with the others builds a new character.

Iris graduated in graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires (FADU 2010) and then worked at different agencies and design groups in the city. She always felt the need to be involved with image making. She is inspired by nature and the textures that can be found in everyday objects, that through the digital collage technique, she can transform into new visual universes full of light and colour.
