This series of illustrations captures the light and shadow as well as the atmosphere in the cities of Taiwan. I have left Taiwan and lived abroad for years. I have always wanted to capture the beauty of my home country. Last year, when I was in Taiwan, I looked for inspiration by walking through the alleys of the cities I went to. I discovered the beauty of light and shadow on the local buildings.
How was the illustration used: These illustrations are used as portfolio pieces.
How did you make this work: I made this work on iPad with Apple pencil. The work is digitally painted with layers to create textures.

Biography:
Hsin-Yi is a Hertfordshire based artist illustrator from Taiwan, who graduated from Illustration Animation BA (Hons) at Kingston University. She creates artwork for children and grown ups. She expresses emotions and communicates with painting and drawing with colours.
