As someone who is sensitive to loud sounds, I created this piece to express my desire to be in a completely silent place.
How was the illustration used: This illustration was used as a portfolio piece.
How did you make this work: I always love discovering the chemistry between different textures. In this piece I combined computer graphics and traditional media to capture the desire of a person with sound sensitivity to live on the quiet seabed.

Biography:
Hoi Chan is a Hong Kong born New York Based illustrator. He received a BFA in design from School of Visual Arts in 2016. Living in such energetic cities, He is always looking for the balance between nature and urban life, and how finding this balance translates into shapes, colors and illustration. His clients included New York Times, The On Being Project and Simon & Schuster.
