After visiting New York back in 2018, I decided to create a piece that captures the atmosphere, simplifying the towering buildings and focusing on the diversity of the city.
How was the illustration used: Was intended as portfolio piece.
How did you make this work: I drew the image using brush and ink first, before scanning it in and coloring in using Photoshop.

Biography:
Guang Lim is an illustrator from Malaysia currently based in the United States. He studied illustration at California College of the Arts, graduating in 2019.His work aims to provide creative and conceptual solutions, focusing on shape and color to create a strong visual hierarchy. His inspirations currently come from German Expressionism and vintage American horror comics.Guang's work has received awards from 3x3 and Creative Quarterly, while his clients include WIRED, Seven Stills and Waxsimile Records.
