Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned to create an illustration about how young people are increasingly choosing not to have children due to the state of the climate and environment. In this illustration, a couple is standing alone on a melting ice cap and the baby-shaped cloud shows how much they still yearn for a child. I focused on how difficult a decision this actually is for people who make it.

This illustration was used to accompany an article in The New York Times Parenting section.
