Why did you make this work:
A small chocolate manufactory, Harlequin Chocolates commissioned me to design their full identity, including logo, typography, package design and illustrations.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations are placed on chocolate packages and other merchandise products. The illustrated elements work separately but also can be combined as patterns.

How did you make this work:
The illustrations and the logo design were created digitally. I aimed to create an elegant logotype using the shape of the letter H and C, but the logo also refers to the shape of a harlequin ladybird. As it is a small manufactory, producing high quality handcrafted chocolates, I drew in a hand drawing style using realistic pencil brushes and a muted colour palette to create the unique patterns.

Biography:
Fruzsina Fölföldi is an award-winning freelance illustrator and graphic designer. She studied Graphic Design at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and M.Des Illustration at the Glasgow School of Art. Her main focus is illustration, branding, package design and editorial design. She is a co-founder of the award-winning branding design studio, Classmate.
