PANEL accordion book

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
This project was a school assignment, we had to make an illustration in accordion format and the choice of the theme was left to us. My work entitled PANEL was inspired by that I’m living in a Hungarian „panel” (block of flats) house, which have a unique atmosphere. I’ve processed my experiences here into this book.

How was the illustration used:
This accordion book was one of the projects for my illustration course in Corvin Rajziskola (Corvin Art School).

How did you make this work:
I’ve designed a coherent series of images that, with their compositions and limited colors, present the events, noises and sights of my everyday life in the panel house. The whole book is handmade. I used acrylic markers and graphite pencils to draw the pictures, which I later glued together into an accordion format and made a cover for it.
