'A Distant View' is the result of spending much of last year within the same four walls, where the only way I could explore remarkable landscapes from around the world was by drawing them from the comfort of my own home.
How was the illustration used:
The illustration series was created to build my personal portfolio.
How did you make this work:
The series was made by hand using a range of mixed media. The base of the images have mostly been created using gouache paint, with added details created by using materials like pencils and pens.

Ella Galea is an illustrator that currently lives and works in London. She spent three years studying Illustration at the University of Brighton and graduated in 2019. Her work is centred around the bits and bobs that make up everyday life such as food, people, film, weird objects, familiar and unknown cities and places, and anything she sees fit. She loves cowboy boots and dogs in silly hats.
