Elizabeth Parisi

Elizabeth B. Parisi has been designing children’s books for over 25 years.

She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration and understands the language of illustrators, working with many talented artists over the years.

As creative director at Scholastic, she oversees the creation of over 200 books per year in various genres, and has designed many award-winning titles. She is the art director and designer of The Hunger Games trilogy, as well as other well-received series and novels in middle grade and YA fiction.

An award winner at the Society of Illustrators, occasional judge of SOI’s annual shows, and frequent speaker at SCBWI, Elizabeth never tires of the creative process involved in commissioning illustrators, making imagery for fiction, and discussing process.

Elizabeth is married to the Society of Illustrators president, Tim O’Brien.  They live in Brooklyn, NY with their son, Cassius.
