Why did you make this work:
To write, design and illustrate a story that explores our preoccupation with the everyday, the anxieties of the moment, our failure to truly see the world around us. A book to be cherished and enjoyed, to reconnect & engage the audience with the book as a physical object.

How did you make this work:
Elegant illustrations, considered design & typography work with the story, adding layers of intricacy which evoke a rich heritage of book design. Tension between text/image has been carefully considered to create a story that builds in pace. Inspired by the work of Blake and Morris, every element has been thought about, over printing of metallic inks to the cloth cover & the worm colour thread.
