The brief from Lala Berlin was to explore "pride", as one of the 7 deadly sins. Other then that I was given complete creative freedom. I decided to explore the state of current western society from the angle of pride and narcissim: The wild west - the end of an era. The beginning of something new. The desert is a metaphor for change, the mountains stand for our challenges and opportunities.
How was the illustration used: The drawing was intended be used as Print and T-Shirt Design.
How did you make this work: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Biography:
Claudie Linke is an illustrator, animator and artist. Originally from Germany, now island based. She started her professional creative career rather late in life, at the age of 35 years. She first studied economics in Munich, Germany and worked for about 10 years in different startups. Finally, she changed careers and completed a Postgrad for Creative Illustration and Visual Communication at EINA University Of Arts in Barcelona, Spain. In her work she explores society, politics, history and on a meta level connecting the opposites, black and white, love and fear. She believes in hope, the concept of good and in curiosity.
