- Why did you create this work?
The assignment was to create the graphics to go with this musical work by Fumi Suzuki. The illustrations had to be in tune with the songs. Intimate atmospheres and lyrics, which had a touch of simplicity and an oniric universe, were ideal to work the illustrations of the booklet as a fable. There is a story behind the illustrations with a beginning, development and outcome. - How were your illustrations used?
The commission was to create all the illustrations of a musical project included in a CD box. - What materials and techniques did you use?
Suzuki’s japanese origins invited me to use ink as my primary medium. I developed stencils, counterforms and collage with the resulting elements that I ended up composing digitally. I have used the electric blue color, usually related to melancholia, to give a spark of energy to the work. - Was this project commissioned?
