She/her - Why did you create this work?
I’m a big fan of Jo Nesbo’s crime novels. I designed books covers for 3 of my favorite books from the Harry Hole series. I try to emphasize the suspenseful and criminal atmosphere and keep the design in line with the content and title. Each cover is a horizontal single image, with a uniform ratio of black and white on the spine. - How were your illustrations used?
They’re applied to book covers or sleeves for physical publications. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I drew it in procreate. And I digitally applied some texture that I made and scanned to my drawing. I paint these textures with brushes and ink. - Was this project commissioned?
