She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I created this series for an exhibition at a restaurant venue. This opportunity allowed me to challenge myself by adding more narrative to my isometric work, focusing on memories of cherished food experiences. These memories stem from encounters in various countries or simply my everyday flavors. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations were created for an art show that took place in different restaurants in Taipei. This series is created to celebrate food and life, I believe that everyone has fun memories with food, so I can see those who sitting next to the illustration, have a fun, delightful conversation over their food and the artwork! - What materials and techniques did you use?
The illustrations were made using digital media. I started with visual research and thumbnail sketches to test ideas. Then, I did detailed line work in Procreate. Once satisfied, I moved to the final stage of coloring and texturing in Photoshop. Despite many trials, I enjoyed the process. - Was this project commissioned?
