Time and place is a series of illustrations based on the incredible photography of Vivian Maier. Before lockdown I used to spend a lot of time drawing on public transport and walking around town. Vivian Maier's photography was a perfect substitute for this during lockdown. Her ability to honestly capture a stranger's character in one image is a great inspiration to me.
How was the illustration used: Personal
How did you make this work: All the images are digital and they were made on Photoshop. I also used the project as an exercise to explore how I approach colour, composition and character design.
