This painting parodies one of the most recurrent comments received by graphic artists. It was done as a personal piece and posted on the site Reddit, getting a lot of attention for its funny take on the topic and execution.

How was the illustration used:
This painting was posted on the Reddit community r/art, getting 54.4k upvotes

How did you make this work:
The painting was done in Procreate and took around 7 hours to finish. A piece from Renaissance artist Bronzino was used as reference for the clothing, while the rest of details came from imagination.

Biography:
CaptainPeru is a Peruvian artist currently living in Vancouver, BC. On March 15th, 2013 he started doing one drawing per day on his personal art diary. The themes represent the highlight of the day, or any story from his past, but the objective was to never go a day without sketching. This project is still going strong to this day.
