She/Her - Why did you create this work?
This is a New Yorker style Book Review editorial illustration based on "Everything I Never Told You" by Celeste Ng. The book is about a Chinese American family working through their trauma after their favorite middle daughter, Lydia, is found drowned in a nearby lake. Lydia was dealing with immense familial expectations differing from her actual dream before her death. - How were your illustrations used?

My work tastes like expired childhood.
I am a Chinese illustrator who specializes in comics and editorial illustration. I like to capture a sense of melancholic nostalgia through not only characters, but also lighting and atmosphere.
My work has been recognized and exhibited by the MoCCA Arts Fest, Printed Matter and The New School Free Press. - Where are you currently based?
