How did you make this work: It started off as a pencil sketch on my sketch book on April fools’ day. The Mandarin translation of April fools day literally puns with the word “Yu-Ren” (which is human-fish), that was when I came up with the story of fish merged with a human’s face. And there the character Trish was created, and she took on a journey after she bumps into a fish when she went fishing by the sea.

Biography:
Belle is a Taiwanese freelance illustrator and freelance medical translator that grew up in New Zealand. She always keeps a tiny notebook, writing her inspirations from observing her surroundings and adds them into her illustrations. She does not have a fixed style and is always excited about exploring new possibilities. Her work usually fills with vibrant colours with hand-made patterns.
