  • Why did you create this work?
I received this proposal from writer Cristina Calvino to illustrate her new silent book. The synopsis: The protagonist of this story cannot accept the fact that her city is so polluted. One day, on the way to school, an idea comes to her. As soon as she returns home, she starts working on her project. So I really liked the project and moved forward with the illustrations. It's a 40-page book.
  • How were your illustrations used?
As the book is a silent book and relies heavily on illustrations, the illustrations are quite cinematic and detailed for better understanding by the reader. At this stage we still only have a finished and colored model and we are looking for a publisher to publish the book.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
The materials and techniques used are those that I usually use in my work. Analog collage vs digital collage, colored xerox textures and patterns in digital,... In the end I have files with many layers in Photoshop.
