Why did you make this work:
The fan might be seen as a metaphor of a mask that is conform to a social context. On the other hand, it reflects an exterior perception and approval. This series depicts a mental phenomenon happening in most of East Asian societies: The obsession of hiding true emotions and decisions to assimilate conventional social standards.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations contribute to a campaign about society norms in the Asian context. They could be posters or article's covers.

How did you make this work:
The pencil sketches described 90 percentage of ideas and composition. The finish artworks were conducted digitally, with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
