Why did you make this work:
My project ’SOMEWHERE’ is about imagining an ideal place that does not exist, a new space created by an unfamiliar combination of objects. There, everyone is doing something unusual in an unfamiliar space, but they are living together naturally and comfortably. In this space, they all peacefully coexist.

How did you make this work:
First, I started to collect many different objects and scenes while imagining ’SOMEWHERE,’ the ideal place. Then, I put them together in one space with a story. I wanted them to be strange but in harmony. I tried to create a space that I can look at from an unusual perspective. I used mostly digital work, but some elements of illustrations were made by hand.

Biography:
After having worked as textile designer for a wallpaper company in Seoul, I started as a freelance illustrator. Harmoniously combining various textures and patterns with digital illustrations is one feature of my works. Recently, I became interested in surreal expression, and I love to create new scenes by combining various elements that come to mind.
