I made this work for the cover of Nature Outlook, a supplement to Nature Magazine. This issue was about the Gut Microbiome. There are huge numbers of bacteria and other microbes that dwell in the human gut. New discoveries are revealing more about it, but there's still a lot more to understand.
How was the illustration used: The illustration was used on the printed version of Nature and digitally on their website.

Biography:
Antoine Doré is an illustrator and comic book artist based in Paris. He received a training by a painter in an apprenticeship, before concentrating on illustration, mainly in publishing and editorial for clients such as Hachette, Albin Michel, l'école des loisirs, The Guardian, Variety, Nature... His work employs a combination of traditional and digital techniques and he likes to throw in a bit of absurd humor and surrealism.
