Exploration

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
We live in unsettling times. The worlds population continues to rise and as a result, squeeze out the natural world to make room for our continued development. These images have been created to help reflect on a link between our world that once was, and one that might come to be. It is a reflection on how humans are part of a bigger eco system that involves so much more than ourselves.

How was the illustration used:
Developmental work intended to be a sequence of images in book form, visually highlighting the destructive path mankind is on and the affect we have on the natural world around us.

How did you make this work:
The initial research and sketches of a variety of species of primates and compositions led to a final concept. The end results were created primarily in Photoshop with a Wacom pen over multiple layers.
