This photo illustration was created to accompany Anne Helen's Peterson's article for MSNBC Daily titled," Are you suffering from 2020 election burnout? You're not alone." With this artwork, I wanted to depict the burnout faced by the whole country during the exhaustive U.S. presidential election cycle. Art Director: Chelsea Stahl

This was the main art that accompanied an article on MSNBC Digital.

How did you make this work:
After conceptualizing the idea as a pencil sketch, I created the illustration using digital photo manipulation.

Anjali Nair is currently an editorial illustrator and designer at MSNBC Digital + NBC News. She is a Baltimore-based graphic designer with an interest in creating flexible visual identity systems and editorial design. Originally from India, Anjali graduated with an MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Baltimore.
