Why did you make this work:
I created this work as part of a project at University called 'Interpreting Information' where companies, projects and organisations would give us live briefs that we would need to create solutions for. I was given the Fresh Air brief from the University of Plymouth Faculty of Health. This brief was to create something to convey how smoke inhalation contributes to and causes COPD in rural Uganda.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations and animation are being used by the Ministry of Health in Uganda to spread awareness and information about COPD. The campaign has been really successful and is planned to be distributed in Ghana, Cameroon and potentially Kenya.

How did you make this work:
I created the illustration for the comic book using dip pen and ink, then coloured them digitally using Adobe Photoshop. The animated version was made using TVPaint and Adobe Premiere.
