Why did you make this work:
I was comissioned by Scena 9 to illustrate one of the articles in their 4th printed annual printed issue on the theme of Survival. It was a welcome creative challenge.

How was the illustration used:
Full page magazine illustration in Scena9 magazine, issue 4 from 2021.

How did you make this work:
Digital illustration created in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop. The concept I thought would best suit the overall theme of the article and Issue was to represent how one endures a 'survival' by rebuilding in a similar way to the Japanase technique of repairing broken pottery of Kintsugi. I imagined the snapshot of the images as on being taken in reverse, observing the rebuilding.
