| ProfessionalWhy did you make this work:
During the lockdown I started to explore the feelings of love, longing and connection through illustration, as well as pushing my style in a new direction. I have discovered that plants and human form can be very expressive both aesthetically and through the cultural context and associations, so I started combining those in my personal work to express a variety of feelings in a visual format.
How was the illustration used:
The illustration is a part of ongoing series of individual pieces. This particular piece explores the sense of a newfound connection.
How did you make this work:
I pushed my personal style by simplifying the forms as much as possible and using a minimal yet punchy colour palette. I also started creating my work completely digitally since I couldn't visit the local printshop for the scanner, which in turn affected my general approach to illustration.
