Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
I was invited to take part in an exhibition named "5Poems" among another 4 illustrators. Each of us received a poem to illustrate, my poem was "Street Corner Telephone" by Romanian poet Cristi Popescu.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration was an experiment and is now an important piece in my portfolio. It was first exhibited as part of the cultural festival Street Delivery and later in the bookshop and gallery Carturesti and Friends - Studio Receptor, in Bucharest.

How did you make this work:
The technique used: mixed media on paper. Executed with tempera, oil pastels and coloured crayons. I used a small colour palette, the predominant colours are Prussian blue and Vermilion Red.
