| ProfessionalWhy did you make this work:
The series transforms the traditions of classical art into ambiguous narratives of modern life. Naturalistic proportions and cinematographic compositions reminds the viewer of reality, yet the carefully chosen styling and colour creates a new world. My characters have complete freedom of expression and the viewer may question whether they are seeing something that truly exists or works of fiction.
How was the illustration used:
Self promotion, expanding portfolio.
How did you make this work:
In this series, I combine real life proportions with a stylised drawing approach, exploring an intense pink colour palette and elements of the present-day. The series were made on paper, using airbrushed acrylic paint for the background and coloured pencil for the figurative drawing.
